Day 2: Safe to Ask

Scripture:

John 20:25 -- "Unless I see the nail marks in His hands… I will not believe."

Thomas gets a bad reputation. But his story is deeply human. He wasn't being dramatic or rebellious--he just wanted to know for himself. He wanted to see.

Many of us can relate. Maybe you were raised in church but never felt like it was your faith. Maybe you were told that having questions was a sign of rebellion. But Thomas teaches us that faith isn't about pretending to believe--it's about bringing our real selves, doubts and all, to God.

Jesus doesn't shame Thomas. He meets him where he is. He welcomes the questions and provides the space to explore truth.

Reflection:

What's a question you've been afraid to ask God? What would it look like to bring it into the light?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for making space for doubters like Thomas… and like me. Give me courage to ask, strength to seek, and faith that grows through every question. Amen.
