Baptism at cfParis
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation—a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes your decision to follow Him, reflecting His death, burial, and resurrection as you are raised to new life.
At cfParis, we believe baptism is an important step of obedience for every believer. It’s a powerful moment where you proclaim your faith to your family, friends, and church community, and it marks the beginning of a lifelong journey with Jesus.
Who Should Be Baptized?
If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus and accept Him as your Savior, baptism is your next step. It’s not about having everything figured out—it’s about taking a step of faith and obedience in response to God’s love and grace.
Why Is Baptism Important?
-
It’s a public declaration of your faith.
-
It’s a symbol of your new life in Christ.
-
It’s a step of obedience, following Jesus’ example.
What Happens During Baptism?
As you step into our fancy baptism tank (a livestock watering trough 😄), you will receive encouragement and prayer from one of the pastors. Next, you’ll be immersed in water, signifying the washing away of sin and the start of your new life in Christ. As you get up from the water, the church will cheer you on, celebrating this important decision in your life with you.
